The second tab, Properties, allow you to adjust some basic playback settings.
The first option you can change the scaling behavior. The image below illustrates what each scaling option does. For the purpose of this illustration, a square image is used to exaggerate the effect that each scaling option has. If your media is the same aspect ratio or resolution as your output, the differences may not even be noticeable.
The first is Scale to Fit. If your media is a different aspect ratio, it will have bars (usually black) on either the sides or the top and bottom.
The second is Scale to Fill. This option expands the video to fill your screen and can result in cropping.
The third is Stretch to Fill, which fills the screen, but may result in distorting the image.
Below the scaling options are two rotation options if you need to flip your media. If you are using a video, you will have the option to adjust the volume, play rate (speed), and playback behavior of the video here as well. The playback behaviors were covered in the section under the Video/Image Bin.
