Importing PowerPoint Files

To import a PowerPoint file, go to the File menu, select Import, then select Import PowerPoint. Select the PowerPoint file that you want to import from the file browser window. At the bottom select the option for importing (on Mac you may need to click the Options button see these options):

Import Native PowerPoint file (PC only)

Will play back directly in PowerPoint (see Triggering section on next page)

Import All Slides as JPEG Images

Compresses each slide down to a still image for use in ProPresenter

Import Text Objects as ProPresenter Slide Elements

Import only the text from PowerPoint to ProPresenter

Import Text and Graphic Objects as ProPresenter Slide Elements

Import the text and objects from PowerPoint to ProPresenter

Click on Import to bring the PowerPoint file into ProPresenter using the selected options. All of the above options (except for Import Native PowerPoint file on PC) will create a new document inside of ProPresenter and will no longer need to open PowerPoint to show that file.

On a Mac the Import Native PowerPoint File option is not available, but you can achieve similar results by dragging the PowerPoint file directly from the Finder to a playlist inside of ProPresenter. This will use the Triggering feature explained on the next page.

PowerPoint 2011 or newer must be installed on the computer to import PowerPoint files.
